Friday night Jake, the dogs and I took a walk, as we do most evenings. This walk was different though. Instead of walking down our street we strapped on our skis and went for a moonlit walk in the Bighorns. The glowing moon reflected the world in black and white. The gentle swoosh of our skins sliding over the snow quietly announced our presence to the forest creatures hidden in the shadows. As we made our way through the night it was as though we were the only creatures in the world. For that tiny moment, the stars twinkled sharing a secret that can never be told. The walk will forever be burned into my memory.
